This is a page dedicated to everyone who is in need of a briefing of what Western blotting really is and how to do it. It has got all the necessary basics, complete with some background info, explanations, comments, suggestions, an example protocol, recipes and hopefully also a touch of humour.
When I was a newbie at Western blotting myself, I quickly discovered that there are tons of pages about Western blotting available on the internet. Many of the pages were however written by scientists for other scientists excellent if you are already familiar with the technique, but at a far higher level than I could ever hope to understand at that time.
With this page, I am trying to shed some light upon the mysteries of Western blot, regardless of your previous experience (or inexperience). So, whether you are a complete beginner or just want to freshen up your memory a bit welcome! I hope you will find this page useful!
